Legendary 12 – Origin of the Zodiac Animals
Born with a thirst for adventure, Prince Jacob does not heed his parents’ warnings and ventures into the Forbidden Forest. Unfortunately for him, he accidentally tampers with the magical seal and releases evil back into the world.
When the twelve diamonds and the jade centre that make up the seal are scattered across the world, the prince’s father, the Jade Emperor, has no way of containing the Dark Forces, which affect the human race only and not the animals.
The Jade Emperor decides that Earth must be destroyed.
Wanting to undo the terrible fate that he has unleashed on Earth, Prince Jacob begs his father for a chance to find the diamonds and jade, restore the magical seal and banish the Dark Forces.
The Jade Emperor knows that Prince Jacob cannot do this alone, but there is no way of knowing which humans have been corrupted by the Dark Forces. He organises a Great Race to find the bravest animals on Earth to help Prince Jacob restore peace to the world.
This story not only tells the legend of how the twelve animals came to be part of the Chinese zodiac, but it is also the first tale in the Legendary 12 series.
Mus Mouse Vol. 1 – All Roads Lead to Rome
Prince Jacob ignores his parents’ warnings and plays in the Forbidden Forest. He finds the magical seal that his father, the Jade Emperor, has used to contain the Dark Forces. When the prince touches the seal it shatters, and the twelve diamonds and beautiful jade in their centre are scattered across the world. Once again evil has taken over the world.
Without the seal the Jade Emperor has no way of containing the Dark Forces, so he has no choice but to destroy Earth. Feeling responsible, Prince Jacob begs his father for a chance to find the diamonds and the jade, restore the magical seal and banish the Dark Forces. The Jade Emperor agrees, but he knows that his son cannot do this alone.
Since the evil of the Dark Forces affects the human race only and not the animals, the Jade Emperor organises a Great Race across the Trial River to find the bravest animals on Earth to help Prince Jacob in his quest to save Earth.
Leading the charge is the legendary Mus Mouse, whose task it is to find the pink diamond. She makes her way to Rome, where she confronts the full might of the Dark Forces. She must escape the city alive if the quest is to succeed.

None of the winning animals is more steadfast and reliable than the legendary Ole Ox. His calm and honest nature hides a fearsome strength, and he values fairness between humans and animals above all else. He might not be as clever or quick-witted as some of the other animals, but his never-say-die attitude is one of his formidable strengths.
His individual task is to find the grey diamond. He will need all his strength and courage when he comes up against the evil Vikings, and the fearsome werewolf, all of whom are under the extreme influence of the Dark Forces.
Valy Tiger Vol. 3- The Wild One
Ignoring his parents’ warnings about the danger, Prince Jacob accidentally unleashes terrifying destruction when he touches the magic seal in the Forbidden Forest—the seal that his father, the Jade Emperor, has used to contain the evil of the Dark Forces. When the seal shatters, the twelve diamonds and the beautiful jade in the centre of the seal are violently dispersed across the world. Once again, evil has taken over Earth.
Although animals are unaffected, the evil causes suffering for the entire human race, and without the magic seal to contain it, the Jade Emperor has no choice but to destroy Earth.

The smallest and youngest animal to finish the race is Valy Tiger. Her small size and timid personality make her doubt her worthiness to be a part of the Legendary 12. Her individual task is to find the orange diamond, which can bring total destruction upon the world and is highly sought after by warlords and conquerors.
Can Valy Tiger find the inner strength and courage to face the evil that exists in the form of the Rakshasa? Can she confront Alexander the Great in his merciless invasion of India?
Or will she succumb to her fear and lack of self-worth? Will she surrender to the might of the Dark Forces?

The saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”, rings so true for Sir John Rabbit. Despite his clumsiness and goofiness he has a habit of saving the day. Sir John is very gentle, tender, compassionate and merciful and is tasked with finding the red gemstone. Unfortunately this gentle legend must not only face the might of the mythical Griffon but also the wrath of Mordred.
